Conservation
Not much was being done to help these ceatures, but in in 1980 the komodo National Park was established to protect both the Komodo dragon and its habitat. They established this because, these dragons live in such a small range of space, there chance of species survival dwindles. For instance, in 1984, there was a large fire that swept through Padar, killing most plant species, and therefore herbivores, which directly affected the Dragons. Even though they may seem more docile in captivity, they are still powerful animals that are capable of striking at any moment.
