Structural adaptations
Just like other reptiles, the Komodo dragon has very sharp claws.
Sharp claw makes it easier for the Komodo dragon to catch its prey/food. Sharp claws
are also a good use of defense as well for other reptiles like iguanas , chines water dragons and exc . When the Komodo
dragon is hungry, it can use it's sharp claws to catch its next large meal, and
if they get into a fight with another komodo or another animal, the claws
protect it. Also, the Komodo
dragon has very large powerful legs. These legs help the komodo catch and tear
apart its prey/food. These legs have adapted to fast moving food , due to their
feeding pattern being based around deer. Deer are very quick, so to catch the
fast mammals, the Komodo Dragon
needs strong, powerful legs.
